Mission

B1 is a catalyst for dialogue, learning and healing to create a safe region for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

 

We create inclusive community

·         B1 dialogue seeks to

o   improve inclusiveness within civic, community, educational and business organizations and systems;

o   increase understanding among people with different sexual orientations and gender identities; and

o   build participant skills to communicate across identities.

·         B1 dialogue cultivates relationship building and thoughtful engagement about how to create a more inclusive community.

·         B1 dialogue is not simply a one-time event but a process requiring extended commitment.

·         B1 dialogue takes place face to face in small groups that include both people who are heterosexual and people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT).

·         B1 dialogues are led by skilled facilitators.

·         B1 dialogue encourages the development of group action plans to continue to effect change beyond the dialogue.

 

Program Offerings

     ·         B1: A Space for Grace is a dialogue group for

            spiritual communities.

·         B1: Civic Engagement Dialogues help groups work for LGBT inclusive cultural attitudes, community practices, and civic policies.

·         B1: Facilitator Training prepares people to lead dialogue groups.

·         B1: Consulting works with your organization to design a custom LGBT inclusion process.
